Day 3

For breakfast yesterday, I had some cold cereal at home, then when I got to work, they had a little breakfast buffet going on, so I had some yogurt and a very little bit of granola. And a cup of orange-colored liquid... some kind of POG knockoff, most likely.  Lunch was catered by Helen Goo, so I had some crab cakes and some rolls, and a cobb salad, and some fruit salad topped by yogurt. For dinner we had baked potatoes and chili.  I don't think I ate any candy in the office yesterday... I was too full after that big lunch.

Food journal, day two

So yesterday (3 Sept) I had "johnny cake" (cornbread batter cooked as pancakes) for breakfast.  I forgot to bring lunch to work, so I had a few spoonfuls of peanut butter.  Luckily I keep a jar of peanut butter in my office for such occasions.  And then for dinner, Maria made some wonderful tacos which I eagerly ate, along with a tossed salad.

DMBA Challenge #5

The DMBA Healthy Living Challenge for the next two months is to keep a "food journal."  Very well, I accept!  Today I ate a bowl of leftover oatmeal for breakfast.  Later on I had a few dry pieces of shredded wheat for a snack.  For lunch I had leftover chicken and broccoli, followed by a piece of chocolate-coconut stuff that the neighbors brought by last year at Christmas (I rescued it from the freezer last night). Then I took Marisa to her dance class, and afterwards we snacked on candy. I ate two Twix bars, and a Mexican piece of candy whose name I don't recall at the moment... Gloria maybe?  For a pre-dinner snack I let the kids eat Goldfish, and I snacked on a few myself.  For dinner we had pasta primivera and a tossed salad.  Maria always makes such healthy yet nutritious dinners.
